A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.

The site identifies official access routes for Beaufort County records held by the sheriff, the Clerk of Superior Court, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party dossiers, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
